MODEL OVERVIEW

About this model: Samsung ME21DB670012AA

Samsung ME21DB670012AA white-glass over-range guide with cooking, hood, filter and five verified codes.

Confirm the white-glass ME21DB670012AA before using a code table

ME21DB670012AA is Samsung's white-glass Bespoke microwave designed for installation above a cooktop. Its exact product page identifies a 2.1-cubic-foot cavity, auto-dimming glass touch controls, Wi-Fi and Auto Connectivity. The support page for this complete suffix links the English owner PDF; its cover says ME21D*6700**** because several finishes and markets share the document. Compare the model label with the support record rather than relying on the broad cover alone. Page 13 then provides a useful physical check: the panel combines a cooktop lamp, a four-speed vent fan, sensor cooking, Auto Cook and an independent Settings key. The same page shows how the glass tray sits on its roller ring and how the removable metal shelf rests on plastic hooks. A displaced shelf can arc, so place it as drawn before deciding that a crackling sound is an electronic failure.

Check how the selected program changes normal operation

Manual Microwave offers ten power levels from Warm to High and can chain two stages with separate times and power settings. That is different from Popcorn, which senses a single suitable bag, and from Sensor Cook, where food choices such as potato and pizza carry their own amounts and standing instructions. Auto Cook uses a category, food item and quantity; its Home Dessert section even includes specific programs for walnut pound cake, egg pudding and other recipes. Keep Warm is another separate control and may run for up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds. Record the exact mode when reporting slow heating: a short sensor result, a low manual power level and a hold-warm cycle should not be compared as if they were the same test. The turntable On/Off setting applies only to manual cooking. The manual recommends leaving rotation on for best results and warns that prolonged nonrotation may burn food.

Interpret hood behavior and the Filter reminder correctly

This over-range unit also protects and ventilates the cooking area below it. One Vent Fan press selects Boost, followed by High, Medium, Low and Off on successive presses. The manual says the blower can start automatically when it senses too much heat and remain active for thirty minutes or longer after the controls are off; a fan that cannot immediately be switched off is therefore not, by itself, an information code. A compatible Samsung cooktop can link to the hood through Auto Connectivity so its fan follows cooktop operation. Separately, the grease filter is reusable and should be cleaned at least monthly. With Filter Remind enabled, the display shows the literal word Filter every four months; page 17 says to clear that reminder with 0 in standby. The charcoal filter for recirculating installations is a different part, replaced rather than washed. Preserve this distinction before treating any displayed word as a fault.

Use local controls and connected features as separate checks

The auto-dimming touch panel has normal states that can look like an unresponsive oven. Settings contains Child Lock; a locked panel intentionally blocks buttons. Stop pauses a run with one touch and clears it with two, while the Eco function blanks the idle display to reduce standby power. If the clock is wrong after a power interruption, page 14 allows manual date and time entry, or automatic updating after a SmartThings connection. The app can monitor the microwave and control the hood and light, but weak Wi-Fi can disturb those functions while local cooking remains available. The manual explicitly separates remote monitoring from starting the microwave remotely, so do not infer a cooking failure from an app screen alone. For a genuinely unresponsive touch surface, its troubleshooting section first checks moisture or foreign matter around buttons. A dirty door seal, misplaced tray or blocked air path has its own symptom path. Note which control, display message and operating mode were involved.

Read the five literal information codes on page 38

The rendered owner table contains five codes, each with a narrower meaning than a general heating complaint. C-10 covers a GAS sensor circuit that is open or shorted; Samsung directs unplugging and service. C-F0 denotes an internal communications failure and also calls for unplugging and service. C-F1 is an EEPROM read or write problem with the same service direction. C-F2 means a touch button malfunction: press Stop and try that button again before seeking help if the problem persists. C-d0 means controls have been touched for more than ten seconds. Clean the keys, check for water, then, if it repeats, turn the oven off for more than thirty seconds and retry; call Samsung if it returns again. Keep the lower-case d exactly as shown. The troubleshooting pages separately discuss ordinary door, power, tray and ventilation symptoms. Record the displayed characters and what the oven was doing, and use the actions for that row rather than assigning a part solely from a symptom.
