MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: LG DLE3600W
The white LG DLE3600W electric dryer has documented tE1–tE7, PS and d80/d90/d95 warnings on its linked owner PDF.
What the DLE3600W actually includes
The white LG DLE3600W is the electric member of the DLE3600/DLG3601 specification family. Its 7.4-cubic-foot drum, front-load format and electronic LED controls are confirmed on the exact product-linked sheet, which lists the white SKU separately from graphite steel and gas versions. That distinction matters when reading the family owner's guide: electrical and venting advice for a gas dryer should not be transferred to this model. The owner cover says DL*360**, while LG's DLE3600W support page links that very English PDF.
On the rendered control page, a rotary selector sits beside Power, Start/Pause and modifier keys; the display reports settings, remaining time and status. The ten-program specification matches this panel. A pause preserves the chosen settings, but turning the machine off mid-cycle cancels them. The specification also confirms Wi-Fi, sensor drying, a reversible door and four-way venting for the electric version. These are useful ways to identify the unit before matching an on-screen message to the manual.
Choosing a cycle without confusing it with a fault
Sensor Dry compares moisture in the load with the surrounding air and can revise its estimated finish time. The manual describes Normal for ordinary cottons and mixed items, Heavy Duty for heavier garments, Bedding for bulky textiles, Small Load for up to three items, and Towels for towels. Delicates uses a lower default temperature, while Perm. Press targets wrinkle-prone pieces. A longer or shorter estimate during a sensor cycle is therefore expected behavior; it is not a diagnostic code.
Speed Dry and Air Dry are manual choices. Air Dry tumbles without heat; More Time and Less Time change a manual cycle in five-minute steps, and Time Dry offers a 20-to-60-minute selection. The exact sheet lists nine options but not every option works on every cycle. The manual says an unavailable modifier gives two chimes and stays unchanged. Energy Saver can lengthen a Normal cycle by starting with an air-dry portion, whereas Wrinkle Care periodically tumbles the finished load for up to three hours or until the door opens.
Reading the status area
At startup, Clean Filter is a maintenance reminder; it goes out when Start/Pause is pressed. Dry and Cool name normal stages. The Wi-Fi symbol shows a network connection, Remote signals remote control, and Damp Dry Signal appears when the load is roughly 80 percent dry. None of these labels alone diagnoses a failed component. The Flow Sense indicator is different: it reports reduced exhaust flow, an issue the DLE3600W specification explicitly says this model can display.
The manual distinguishes a four-bar Flow Sense indication during a cycle from an ordinary fluctuation in estimated minutes. It ties four bars to a long, sharply bent or partly blocked duct. An alert can remain on for two hours after a run; after a blockage is cleared, several consecutive cycles may be needed before the indicator resets. If it stays active beyond five cycles after the duct has actually been cleared, the manual directs the owner to seek service. Those timing details prevent a premature diagnosis that the sensor itself has failed.
The codes printed in its owner manual
The real Error Messages table on page 43 groups tE1 through tE7 under temperature-sensor failure and instructs the owner to turn the dryer off and call for service. PS points to an incorrectly connected power cord; the stated check is the cord connection at the terminal block. The same rendered table shows d80, d90 and d95 for severe exhaust restriction. The text extraction mistakes several display digits for letters, so the code spellings here follow the visible page rather than its imperfect OCR.
For d80/d90/d95, the manual says not to keep running a dryer with severely restricted exhaust. Check the outside vent while the machine runs for strong airflow and have an overly long route cleaned, repaired or rerouted. A blocked household vent hood also needs inspection. The table additionally contains a “bIG” explanation for a steam option in the wider manual family; the exact DLE3600W panel and specification do not establish that option, so it is not treated as a DLE3600W fault.
Practical checks before service
Remove lint before the next load and push the filter firmly back into place. The guide warns that a loose or absent filter can damage the dryer or garments, and it says never to operate without it. Avoid stuffing the 7.4-cubic-foot drum simply because its stated capacity is large: damp garments need space to tumble. Sort fabrics that require similar drying conditions and follow their care labels, especially for wool, delicate pieces and materials that cannot safely take heat.
If drying slows and Flow Sense lights, inspect the full exhaust path, not just the filter. A partially blocked duct may still permit operation but lengthens drying and raises energy use; the manual treats a severe d-series restriction more urgently. If the code instead belongs to the tE family or PS, use the table's different response rather than assuming every displayed message means lint. Keep the exact support manual available: it separates a normal reminder, a vent warning and a component or power-connection error.
